Fully Automatic Grab Cranes

Nesher - Cement Factories

Nesher Israeli Cement Works is the leading cement producer in Israel, and is a cornerstone in the development of the construction and infrastructure industry in Israel. One of the steps in the creation of cement is the clinker production process. Kalninker is a new material created from a chemical process of burning limestone and clay soil in a kiln at high temperatures.

In recent years, as part of an effort made in factories to increase and optimize the production process in order to make it more environmentally friendly. The cement factory near Ramla has adopted a new technology called RDF which uses municipal – domestic and industrial waste as a substitute for fossil fuels such as fuel oil and petcoke.

The warehouse in which the RDF for the furnaces is managed by a fully automatic crane.
The crane for a load of 14 tons includes a dual scoop grab with a volume of 12 cubic meters that collects the material while compressing it.
The crane empties the receiving pits from the absorbed material, manages the quantities and type of material in the warehouse and loads the hoppers as needed, which lead the material to be burned instead of conventional fuels.
Due to the highly flammable and dusty environment, the crane includes explosion-proof equipment as well as high impermeability to dust.
The equipment in the project and the material management software are made by KONECRANES, Finland.
